Brian Greene is a professor of Physics and Mathematics at Columbia University and Director of Columbia’s Center for Theoretical Physics and co-founder of the World Science Festival. Among his discoveries in mathematical physics and superstring theory is mirror symmetry, which he co-discovered. Greene has authored several bestselling popular science books including The Elegant Universe and The Fabric of the Cosmos.

Tracy Day is the co-founder and CEO of the World Science Festival, where she oversees all creative, editorial and programmatic offerings and produces original theatrical and musical productions including Icarus at the Edge of Time, Dear Albert, and Radiance. An award-winning broadcast journalist for over two decades, she produced news, documentary, and investigative specials for the nation’s preeminent news divisions. Among other awards, she’s received four National News Emmys and a Silver HUGO for Investigative Reporting.
Senior IT Academic Technology Specialist
Robert is a full stack developer and data analyst who has been with the World Science Festival since 2020. He attended Harvey Mudd College, graduating in 2016 with a BSc in mathematics. In his spare time, he enjoys coding, creating data visualizations, photography, and rock climbing.
Education Associate
Robin Bendiak graduated from Harvey Mudd College with a BSc in Physics. After graduation, she obtained her teacher’s credential and taught elementary and high school special education. In 2021, Robin joined the education team at WSF, where she has worked as Interim Program Coordinator and Education Associate for the World Science Scholars program.

Lela DeVine is a recent graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University with a degree in Molecular Biology and minors in Science & Public Policy and Anthropology. She has research experience in marine sciences, pharmacology, molecular biology, and cancer biology. From Hilo, Hawai’i, Lela is passionate about environmental and ocean advocacy, focusing on science communication, policy engagement, and sustainable research methodology. She has served as Secretary of the Board of Directors at EarthEcho International and was a member of NOAA’s Marine and Coastal Area-based Management Advisory Committee.
